It's time to actually use this subforum.
We've been getting a lot ofbad emotes emotes people can't agree on lately. And by "we've been getting," I mean auto and I have been changing them.
EDIT: Okay, this is getting kind of ridiculous.
Emotes are changing once, even twice, a day. It devalues the 100 emote cap that we're stuck with and makes keeping up with what's changed a pain. So I'm going to put my foot down.
This is will be our new system:
Starting next Monday, all emotes will be locked for a week. This means that we cannot change them. If you don't like a particular emote, then that's too bad because you're stuck with it until the following Monday. Unfortunately we will have to play by the honor system, but repeatedly changing the emotes during the lock period might result in a short suspension. If we adhere to this one rule then we will be fine.
You are free to post new emote ideas in this thread, preferably already cropped (you can still post them in the box, but they won't "count" until they are posted here). You may also give the emote a code. This has to follow the :text: rule with colons on either side. If you don't give the emote a name, I will name it.
Here's the catch. You also have to state which emote you want removed. Adhering to OTT custom, if four (4) people (including the contributor) post that they emote in question to be removed, I'll introduce the new emote. If I don't see four posts saying they want the emote removed, then I will decide whether I want to keep it or not. The new emotes will be implemented the following Monday.
I'm considering requiring each emote to cost a certain amount of Fish so I don't get 20 requests a week. Currently, I'll allow you to submit two (2) emotes.
THESE EMOTES CANNOT BE CHANGED:
- The Thomases
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
- One (1) Clover
Why am I doing this? Because I don't want to have to fix emotes every day, mostly when they're straight word filters. Also because I am the Global Moderator.

Alternatively, we could just not have to change the emotes every day.
